1. Design and Assembly of 4 Cylinder Engine Components With Its Thermal and Stress Analysis

AUTHOR NAME : M. M. KASOD, PROF. S. J. PARIHAR

ABSTRACT : Internal combustion engines produces mechanical work by converting the chemical energy of fuel in combustion chambers of the engines. The proper working of the components in the engine assures the better conversion of energy and increase in work done, which is the main objective of any engines. In the present work some important components of the engines are design and the modelling is done in CATIA V5 software tool. An attempt is made to study static and thermal analysis of the components. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is performed to see the stress variations at critical locations using the ANSYS 14.0 software on piston, connecting rod and crankshaft by applying the boundary conditions. Static and thermal analysis is performed on the piston, connecting rod and crankshaft to know the stress variations on it. For piston the material considered is aluminium and for connecting rod and crankshaft material taken is Steel alloy. Also to design a real engine, having into account all necessary calculations are done.

2. Advanced City for Destined Society

AUTHOR NAME : SHUBHAM R DHOKE, AKASH S. GULHANE, MANDAVI N. CHAPORKAR, SHUBHAM J INGOLE

ABSTRACT : There are various problems faced by the urban civilization due to improper managements and infrastructure. To overcome these problems here is solution to some of the problems, In this we are going to control street light power, Garbage dustbin overflow problem, Automatic watering to plants over the divider along the roads, Electrical equipment’s control in government structures for saving energy, Parking vacancy available notifications, Parking Vacancy detection Density based traffic control, Sewer line blockage detection. These are some of the solutions provided to the certain problems. There can be some more plots over the whole concept. All the modules prescribed above will be developed on embedded platform using Arduino and other required peripheral devices with suitable model.

3. Investigation of Rapid Prototyping as an Effective Tool for Manufacturing of Intricate Geometries of Automotive Components

AUTHOR NAME : DR. RAHUL M. SHEREKAR

ABSTRACT : Tooling is one of the slowest and most expensive step in the manufacturing process, because of the extremely high quality required. To meet these requirements, moulds are traditionally made by CNC-machining, electro-discharge machining or conventional technologies. The term Rapid Prototyping (RP) refers to a group of technologies that can automatically construct physical model from Computer Aided Design data. Rapid Prototyping allows them to be made quicker and less expensively. The Rapid Prototyping techniques involves basic five step process like, Create a 3D CAD model of the required design, Convert the CAD model to STL format, Slice the STL file, Construct the model Layer by Layer and finally Clean and finish the model. Rapid Prototyping is widely used in fabrication of intricate parts of automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer products industries. Also especially moulds are made from RP model from Rapid Tooling. In this paper a case study of manufacturing of engine head is taken. In contrast to production of models by machining, based on the removal of material until the required form is achieved, RP model is made by adding material layer by layer until the whole part will be completed.

4. Student Assessment System

AUTHOR NAME : NIRANJANI FUTANE, ROHINI BHANGALE, SAMIKSHA WAGHMARE, SHIVANI MOR, SIMRANJIT KAUR NAGRA, PROF. RAMANAND SAMDEKAR

ABSTRACT : Student Assessment System is an online test simulator is to take online examination ,test in an efficient manner without wasting time for manually checking of test paper. Student can analyze their performance to find out the area of improvement and in which section they are good. There will be time limit ,if time will be over then also they can continue with the paper but marks will be calculated only for the questions which were solved in that allotted time. This helps Students to offer a quick and easy way to appear for the test. Student can enter to perform only with the valid username and password. The user can see their results after completing the exam.

5. Travel Mate a Fare Sharing Mobile Application: Survey

AUTHOR NAME : PROF. PRATEEK SWAMY, ANKITA MENDHE, SHIVANI DURGE, APARNA DEY, SHWETA GADEKAR

ABSTRACT : The original idea of “Travel Mate” is to provide mobility to young people with little money who could not afford to drive a personal vehicle. Despite its evolution, carpooling remained very affordable and is probably the most inexpensive transportation in option. It is typically three to four times cheaper than the train and it offers more flexibility than public transit in terms of travel times and geography. These advantages explain in great part of ride sharing success. It is a service that arranges ride sharing on the regular basis or just once on very short notice. Like ride sharing, real time ridesharing is promoted as a way to better utilize the empty seats in most passenger cars, thus lowering fuel usage.
