1. Detection of Parkinson’s Disease By Using Matlab

AUTHOR NAME : AKASH P. MANWATKAR, PROF. S. R. SALWE, DR. R. D. RAUT

ABSTRACT : This paper present different method of diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease through voice in early stages. The aim of this study is to provide a simple, fast, cheaper method of detection of Parkinson’s disease for the patients as there is no cure for this disease and the available therapies which provide some relief to them are too much costlier for this disease. We used Linear and Non-linear kernel function together for improving the accuracy of the Support Vector Machines (SVMs) classification. We have used kernel function with a number of parameters associated with the use of the SVM algorithm that can impact the results. A comparative analysis of Linear SVM versus Non-linear SVMs for data classifications is also presented to verify the effectiveness of the kernel function. We seek an answer to the question: ‘‘which kernel can achieve a highest accuracy classification among all kernel functions’’. The support vector machines are evaluated in comparisons with different kernel functions by application to a variety of non-separable data sets with several attributes.

2. A Review on Improving the Performance of Tcp For Wireless Networks

AUTHOR NAME : GAURAV M. RONGHE, DR. A. P. THAKARE

ABSTRACT : TCP continues to be an important transport-layer communication protocol that is typically tuned to perform well in traditional wired networks, where bit error rate (BER) is low and congestion is the primary cause of packet loss. Mobile devices face temporary and unannounced loss of network connectivity when they move. They are likely to have rare resources, and they react to frequent changes in the environment. Motion causes varying, increased delays and packet losses, while the network learns how to deliver packets to the new location of the host. TCP incorrectly interprets these delays and losses as signs of network congestion and to block its transmission rate, causing degraded end-to-end performance. This paper provides an in-depth survey of various TCP enhancements which are specifically targeted for last-hop wireless environments. The objective is to review the performance issues of TCP variations, when employed in last-hop wire-less networks, and to provide a categorized analysis of different existing solutions comparatively.

ABSTRACT : CRM is concerned with the creation, development and enhancement of individualized customer relationships with carefully targeted customers and customer groups resulting in maximizing their total customer life-time value. CRM software is used to store all of their customers details. When a customer interacts with the company, the system can be used to retrieve and store information relevant to the customer. By serving the customer quickly and efficiently, and also keeping all information on a customer in one place, a company aims to make cost savings, and also encourage new customers. With the rampant competition in the domestic and international business, the Customer Relationship Management has become one of matters of concern to the enterprise. CRM takes the customers as the center; it gives a new life to the enterprise organization system and optimizes the business process. In an effort to help enterprises understand their customers shopping behavior and the ways to retain valued customers, we propose data mining techniques. As a rising subject, data mining is playing an increasingly important role in the decision support activity of every walk of life. This paper mainly focused on the research of the customer classification and prediction in commercial banks based on Naive Bayesian classifier that accommodates the uncertainty inherent in predicting customer behavior

7. Analysis of Superheater of Boiler in View of Boiler Tube Leakage

AUTHOR NAME : MISS. ANKITA A. ISAL, PROF. R. K. KULKARNI

ABSTRACT : All the Thermal Power Plants are struggling with the problem of boiler tube leakage. The consequences of which affects the working of power plant and national income in general. The purpose of this project is to study boiler tube leakage problem in the superheater and try to find the causes of tube leakages and suggest remedies. In this project report the general working of the superheater has been explained in brief. Causes of boiler tube failure and the study of trend of failure has been mentioned in this report with the remedies. It was noticed from the plant data that the flue gas erosion is the major cause for the boiler tube leakage and hence some advanced preventive methods for erosion has been studied in this report. It was also found from the trends of failure that the superheater and reheater are the zones where the leakages are found more. A 2-D modeling of final superheater is performed and flow of the flue gases over the coils has been observed. Also the temperature, pressure and velocity field within a superheater using the actual boundary conditions has been studied. With the CFD analysis of superheater, it is observed that the velocity of the steam and flue gases near the U-tube bend found more. Also the temperature plot shows that the high temperature affecting zone is the tube U-bends of the superheater. The CFD results can be useful for the maintenance engineer to make suitable prediction of the tube life and make suitable arrangement for the high temperature zone to reduce the erosion of tube coil and restricting the tube leakage problem.

ABSTRACT : Front fender design of three wheeler vehicle is very important with the focus on an improvement aspect in the automotive industry. The goals are to increase the performance and to find the solution to reduce the cost of the fender because of the amount of material used, hence able to reduce the production cost. In this paper Finite element models of the front fender of three wheeler vehicle were analyzed, using linear and nonlinear finite element analyses in CAE software. Experimental and analysis stress were compared to evaluate the validity of the FEA approaches. In this study, multi-stage topology and free-size optimization of front fender structure have been performed using Optistruct by Altair engineering, used to design a lightweight front fender when subjected to service loads. An existing commercially available front fender mudguard serves as the reference design space. The objective function for topology optimization is used during the development stage to determine placement of supporting ribs in fender component and confirm material reduction of an existing feasible design space. An overall reduction in weight of 1.04% is achieved over a reference commercially available front fender component. The study is focused on a simulation of low velocity impact by a moving object is carried on Existing & Optimized design of front fender mudguard of three wheeler will be tested by using the explicit nonlinear finite element code LSDYNA solver for Energy absorption capability, Deflection, and stress distribution. Results of optimized front fender are compared against existing design of front fender for better and safe design utilization.

10. Power Quality Enhancement by Using Upqc for Grid Connected Wind Energy System

AUTHOR NAME : SIDDHARAM BHEEMASHA KANTOLI, GIRISH KASHINATH MAHAJAN, AJIT PANDHARINATH CHAUDHARI

ABSTRACT : Wind power has been used for centuries with different purposes such as pumping water, propelling boats or grinding corn. Voltage variation problems in steady state leading to flickering which is caused by towers had own effects and voltage drop at PCC due to sudden loading effects constitutes one of the implications of the wind power integration that requires special attention. In facilities with moderated power generation, the WF are connected through medium voltage (MV) distribution headlines. A situation commonly found in such scheme is that the power generated is comparable to the transport capacity of the grid. This case is known as Wind Farm to Weak Grid Connection, and its main problem is the poor voltage regulation at the point of common coupling (PCC).So custom power device called UPQC is employed to mitigate these problems & to get the stable output from wind farms. This approach increases the compensation capability of the UPQC with respect to other custom strategies that use reactive power only. Simulations results show the effectiveness of the proposed compensation strategy for the enhancement of Power Quality and Wind Farm stability
