Abstract :

Faculties have traditionally registered the presence of students, by calling roll call during the lecture. The faculties are responsible for monitoring student attendance during the semester. They must calculate the percentage of attendance of all students for each semester. They must also warn less frequent students to achieve a minimum attendance of 80% as per university regulations. This whole process is still done manually, which takes time. This issue may require a system to more accurately record student attendance and eliminate the need for manual faculty verification. The system registers the class schedule and when the class is in progress, it will be visible on the site and the semester, lecturer in/out time, subject, etc. will be visible on the screen. It will be accessible to staff and higher authorities. The database stores the fingerprint data of all students and teachers. Every time a student marks his/her attendance for a particular semester, the system checks the system database and then marks the attendance of that particular student for that respective semester. It will be posted on the website using the IOT to the respective higher authorities.
