International Journal of Advanced Innovative Technology in Engineering (IJAITE)Processing Characterization of Mechanical Properties of Nano Based PTFE With Ceramic Filler Aslam Pathan, Vikas Shinde, Bhushan Ranpise, Rani Salegave, Prof. Bharat Aldar Abstract : PTFE has been used in many areas due to is unique excellent good coefficient of friction. in these study mechanical properties of PTFE field composite with ceramic filler were investigated elevated Temp. The result indicated that the indicated that strength modulus of elasticity & hardness is increasing filler amount the enhancement in the mechanical properties is more than 500 times increase. There results show that PTFE composite manufacture by Injection Moulding has great potential Provide bearing material with performance suitable for application in beaning. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), reinforced with Boron Ceramic filler were prepared by Studying the various manufacturing processes and selecting the best suitable for Producing this Composite. Mechanical Properties such as Tensile Test, Hardness (Shore hardness) and Elongation Test. were done and their results were studies accordingly. The Composition of Boron carbide and PTFE compounds were varied with different Percentages so as to get the Optimized Result for Tensile Test, Hardness (Shore hardness) and Elongation Test.
