International Journal of Advanced Innovative Technology in Engineering (IJAITE)Investigation Of Heat Exchanger Using PCM Akash Mishra, Trupti Kharade, Suraj Kate, Kiran Naik, Prof. Dnyaneshwar Kamble Abstract : Efficient heat transfer is essential for any industrial system. Tube in tube heat exchangers are commonly used, but require a balance between thermal design and pressure drop. This can often result in a compromise between heat transfer and pressure drop. To address this, researchers have modified existing heat exchangers to increase the mass flow rate and pressure drop in the flowing fluid, ultimately improving heat transfer. The triple tube heat exchanger uses PCM material and nano-fluid for convection-type heat transfer, resulting in better heat transfer. In the experiment, a small, cost-effective setup was used with thermocouples to measure temperature. The effect of mass flow rate on heat exchangers was studied, and the heat transfer area of the tubes was adjusted to optimize heat transfer between PCM and Nano-fluid. Keywords :
