An Android Application for Student Information System

Abstract :

The Student Information System is a platform where students and faculties of an institute can access information about their attendance, personal details, educational details, etc. This system has two modules – teacher and student. Where teachers can submit attendance and test marks of the student along with they can access other personal information about students. So students can also check their attendance, test marks and other details. But the existing Student Information System of our institute is in the website portal. It is observed that it is inconvenient to access through mobile phones. Also the existing system works on the private IP address which limits its area of usage. To overcome these problems we introduced the SIS Android App for the frequent users.
